December 2, 2023 - Disgorged July 2007. Drunk with parmesan biscuits. 12%. A rich, pale, amber-gold. A brief, thin mousse with only the faintest of beads left. This is clearly now a shadow of former glories. It still has a great mouthfeel. The acidity is soft and well balanced by what is left of the fruit with nutty, creamy and slightly oxidative notes. It retains great structure and some length. It has been stored perfectly from purchase and I note similar TNs from others. Obviously this has turned out not to be a long lived wine and this bottle has lost most of its 'champagne' characteristics. While it appears to be very much on the downhill slope, it has become a fascinating wine as a result and very enjoyable to drink.
