Community Tasting Note

  • Ohlawuly Likes this wine: 96 points

December 10, 2023 - Released from cellar of Chateau Latour in 2016.
Drink beautifully after aeration for 6 hours.
Medium ruby to deep garnet. Nose shows black fruits, purple flowers, cedar, tobacco, meat, and celery. On the palate, it is concentrated, pure, layered, perfectly balanced, and militarily precise. Finish is long, with fruits, spices, and oak.
    What a solemn wine.

12/11/23, 10:46 AM - Thanks for the note. I’ve never seen the word “solemn” used in a tasting note before. Might you explain a bit about what you mean? Thanks.
