  December 30, 2023 - Drunk for dinner of roast pork and braised cabbage. 15%. Deep dark ruby. Blackcurrant, stewed plum, black cherries. A hedonistic wine with an intense nose but lacking that extra dimension of complexity that makes it truly interesting. Stewed fruit, moderate tannins, high alcohol - smooth and rich - rather New World for me. Somehow this didn’t align with my palate today. I’m not quite sure where this will go.
