  January 1, 2024 - NYE with a porterhouse w/ red wine mushroom sauce. I have little experience with California cabernets, especially those with age, but this is rather lovely. Dark current, tar, tobacco, and spice box. Lots of mineral on the back end. This really drinks like a well-aged classed growth Medoc, or perhaps more Graves. Slightly flabby with not much in the way of acid or tannin, this likely was better 5 years ago. But still, this is well-made wine for sure.
