January 30, 2024 - This is a brilliant vintage for this wine. Wonderful aromatics, ripe fruit, plush tannins, huge depth of flavor and amazing purity make for one of the better wine experiences I've had in the past six months. For all its up front charm and rounded edges, there is plenty of spine to keep it together, and it doesn't get flabby or unfocused, but rather hones in with more air. Finishes super long and gets longer with more air. If opening now, I suggest 12 hours of decant, since it just kept developing the entire time we had it open, and that was with 5 hours of double decant to start.

3/13/24, 9:59 AM - I might be pulling one this weekend. So, you think a double decant of 12 hours is needed for this wine? We will have time to follow the wine throughout the evening (4-5 hours). I am always a tad concerned about decanting wine that long, but for something this young, it makes more sense.

3/13/24, 12:41 PM - I wouldn't worry at all about too much air. You're probably fine with 6-8 hours double decant beforehand, but it's not going to start falling apart by any stretch.

3/13/24, 1:05 PM - Good to here. As long as it isn't like Impensata, where I felt the air treatment prior to serving us was a bit too long. I think Angela changed the decanting protocol because some people had a better experience with it at PnP.
