September 15, 2023 - This wine surprised me, as for a Chambertin, I expected a powerful and bold wine. Instead, Tortochot has made an extremely elegant and ethereal Pinot, which blind I would have said to be a Chambolle. Lot's of red cherry and cranberry, this is easy to drink and as per past reviews, I'd say ready now rather than holding for the long term. A very nice wine but I deduct some points for this not being the character of a proper Chambertin.
