  February 4, 2024 - Opened this with a fair amount of anticipation last night but was left with disappointment. It was a "failure to launch," not so much overtly flawed as scalped of any fruit or expected characteristics of the grape/appellation. I've been told this (rare) condition is a variant of TCA contamination and I hope that's true, because at least that would explain what I experienced. It would have been a very interesting case study to encounter this bottle at a restaurant. I wonder if it would have been graciously replaced or if it would have precipitated an argument, since you can't smell the typical TCA off aromas/flavors.
