  February 8, 2024 - Thursday evening in diessenhofen. Deep purple color. Waft of alcohol and red cherries initially, vanilla, black pepper, orange, plum, a bit of sous bois after a couple of minutes in the glass. Med acidity, full body, high alcohol, med flavor intensity and med finish. Ample and warm mouth, this is 16 degrees stuff so you taste it. Nice orange peel, black spices, subtle green capsicum, salinity that lingers. If not for the high alcohol I very much like this and ideal for a cold winter night.
