February 14, 2024 - Opened and poured from passive cellar. Barnyard funk on the nose at open, very dark opaque reds in the glass. Barn, then black cherry and fruit leather on the nose. Exceptional level of fruit at the attack - cherry and jammy reds......quite massive still. Amazing at 22 years out really. On day two much of the same, with the palate developing some tart sour cherry notes and high framed acidic notes. Still quite dense and concentrated.
