February 15, 2024 - Guess I’ll start the bidding here. Firstly surprised it’s 2014 as it drinks much younger, with verve and tension upon open. Nose had hints of pear and apple, palate much sterner. Took a while (1~2) hours to start opening a bit - ginger then some of the pine and hazelnut that is often sought after. You won’t be disappointed trying now, but if not for science still best to wait. Compared to Bouchard RDJ ‘21 (just because that’s the last memorable champ I had), this is way more serious, grown up in a way, and not immediately impressionable. RDJ was much better now, but I’m excited about where this could go. Think there’s potential for 2-3 points of upside
