February 20, 2024 - I decanted this young wine about one hour ago and it was still at cellar temperature. It has a lovely dark red to purple color with some muted aromatics including blue violets and red currants.

It is full bodied with nice dark red fruits, fine tannins, a touch of oak, and it is very savory, rich and concentrated. The finish is long and you can tell the structure is there for some years in the cellar. While you can drink it now, it will certainly become more complex and more enjoyable after the tannins soften.

However, I will say that I was surprised by the 14.5% alcohol level, especially for a wine from burgundy.
