March 18, 2024 - Decanted less than a half hour before drinking. Beautiful nose showing menthol, tobacco, leather, cassis, and with another 15 minutes a candied floral aspect. A fully mature and gorgeous nose. Balanced and delicious - sweet, on the palate and quite complex. But the palate begins to tail off about 45 minutes in, becomes drying on the finish. Nose stays strong though. I’d decant as I did if I were serving for 4 people but would get into it earlier for 2 - palate falls off.
