    March 5, 2024 - Last week I had a 1986 vintage 98 points
    Last year
    1985 - 97
    1975 - 92
Vintage 1987 was a good one, but no comparison to 1986( one of the vintages in the XX century)
Let's see how big the difference between them two is.
15 minutes in the decanter just to remove sediment ( not too much)

The smell is incredible. Strong, strong, strong aromas of prunes, tobacco, milk chocolate, herbs.
The taste? Unfortunately not to par with 1986( no surprise)
I would say it's about the same as the 1975 vintage.
The wine is simple, but delicious. Red cherry, prunes, milk chocolate, herbs.
Pretty long finish with sweet red cherry, cranberry, red currant. No spice, soft tannins, high acidity ( but not out of balance!
The wine is very juicy, smooth, and easy on the tongue.
