Community Tasting Note

April 11, 2024 - Decanted for several hours. Served blind in a flight of 9 cabernet based wines from the 2003 vintage. My #1 wine and the groups consensus #2 wine. The nose shows like a classic left bank Bordeaux and features coffee grinds, saddle leather, cedar and cassis. The palate is deep and mouth filling with layers of ripe fruit and velvety tannins. Long finish. Not at all overdone or roasted, this is a classic ripe year Bordeaux with a long life ahead of it.

4/14/24, 7:47 PM - Appreciate the update on this one. I have one bottle left. How much air did it get?

4/14/24, 7:47 PM - great note. I think the wine of the vintage, it has outclassed all 2003's, including first growths, IMO. Everytime I drink this wine I wish I had cases of it. I drink 2, buy 2 etc..as every time I have it I think best quality for price around.. It is moving up in price though.
