  April 28, 2024 - Unlike a prior bottle, this was delicious, balanced, ready to drink. Fifteen minutes after it was opened, the aromas began to bloom with a lovely combination of roses, mint, and sous bois. The mid-palate and finish were classic Volnay, with softened tannins and just enough acidity to go with our meal. It’s a mature wine, with some bricking and tertiary notes, and I doubt it can improve further. But another year in the cellar shouldn’t be a problem. I’m glad I have 2 more bottles.
