April 28, 2024 - Wonderful drinking spot right now - great from pop and pour. Loads of citrus on the palate, but crisp minerality and tension in the wine. The one thing that was interesting to me was that it felt like there was somewhat more residual sugar in this bottling than I've typically had in other GG's (and I understand the requirement of having less than 9 g/L residual sugar), but I think the acidity balances it beautifully (this is not a note of displeasure by any means, just an observation).
Unless you have other Kellers at the same dinner, bringing most other producers of dry Riesling when you know there is going to be Keller is kind of like bringing a knife to a gunfight...1 person found this helpful 262 views

4/29/24, 3:44 AM - Great tasting note! Love the 09 Kellers right now too. They have the sweet fruit from the hot vintage but such a great balance. That sweet fruit extract is it what makes the wine at first feel like off dry which it actually is not.
