April 14, 2024 - This vintage is a knock-out, by far the best Caberlot I’ve tasted till now. Made from unique natural crossing of CF and Merlot. Wine was aged in new FR oak for around 18 months and 16 months in magnums, bottled unfined and unfiltered. Deep opaque ruby colour. Intense savoury and dense aroma of cassis, roasted bell pepper, black cherry jam, roasted herbs, mocha, violets. Medium+ body, explosive concentration, saturated texture, but at same time graceful & fresh with envious depth and length, fine medium+ tannins.

5/4/24, 7:42 PM - I've enjoyed their second wine but I haven't tasted any of their first. I have a mini vertical of '13-'18 all still sleeping. Any suggestions on what to open when?

5/7/24, 9:34 AM - Some nice vintages you got there. Its difficult to guess drinking windows because I’ve never tasted anything older than 8 years from Caberlot, even though 2016 was extraordinary. Anyway I would suggest to wait for at least 10 years after vintage, 15 if you are very patient. I wont live that long but CT suggests to drink 2013 by 2075 and 2018 by 2080, this is mind blowing longevity, longer than most 2nd growth Bordeaux…
