  May 9, 2024 - Quite a dark yellow for such a young wine. My first HCdB and I was pretty impressed. It was recognisably Burgundy, with an attractive smoky core, and light white fleshed fruit. Very pleasing, easy wine with a hint of quality - you know you've got something that is a level above a run-of-the-mill wine. However, and taking nothing away from a decent wine, it's perhaps just a little expensive for what it is and marked down accordingly. At £15 it could be a winner, but it's rather more than that - £22ib (full bottle). From a half, an ideal cellar defender on a weekday evening.
