  July 17, 2009 - Decanted but drank immediately. Soft cherry and sweet spice with a nice blend of dusty earth and leather on the nose. This carries over onto the palate with sauteed mushrooms and a touch of molasses out of the finish. Still holding a nice acidic zip to it, but not enough that I would feel comfortable sitting on this for more than another couple of years. While it did improve with air on night one, I left half of it in the bottle for the next day and it had fallen apart quite a bit (however it was warm that day and so sitting on the counter in an 80-85 degree house probably was the culprit here). Interesting to me how I found a lot of the same characteristics in this wine that the previous tasters did, but found it to be utterly feminine, elegant, flavorful and enjoyable. Great QPR and I will definitely buy again.
