  July 27, 2009 - Pale straw, mineral, stone melon and green apple on the nose, even a hint of petrol developing. Palate is full, finish is long and luxurious and enforces all the smells but adds a strong strawberry element. Delicious and I want more. I couldn't go higher for two reasons, first, I haven't tasted many Spatlese, and secondly, I think the acid seemed a little low for the sweetness. A little residual left on my teeth and gums that I don't experience with other, even sweeter wines, Tokaji, Sauternes, etc.
