  July 11, 2009 - Napa Valley, July 2009; 7/9/2009-7/11/2009 (Napa Valley, CA): The wine has a nice fruity nose with plums, blackberries, and a hint of rhubarb showing up. I like hints of rhubarb in my reds. The fruit is significantly lighter than expected, but still enjoyable. The structure is well done in respect to both the tannins and acidity. The wine is decently balanced, but I think in a year or two it would come together much more nicely.
