October 13, 2009 - This was very pale ruby with wide garnet rim. Nose too was very shy - showing raspberries, very mild oak, smoky aromas and a light touch of earth, mineral notes. Palate packed with mild red fruits while aftertaste dominated by some strange pungent spice. Overall good, but lacking excitement. Good use of oak, flavours could be more complex, as well as nose. When tasted blind, this seemed like a cool climate Pinot Noir. Anyway, drink this soon, it won't last for long. Cheers!
