  November 30, 2009 - Deep garnet – darker than expected given its age. Full mocha and mixed berry nose. Has some uplifting structure to counterbalance the rather jammy, up the gut flavors. Surprise here is that it really doe not finish well – bitter and alcoholic. When I tasted this in its youth, I thought it had the balance to age. This bottle does not….does not remotely resemble the bottle from last year. (65)
