December 2, 2009 - Dark red in the glass. A touch of sweet black cherry on the nose, overlain with coffee, brown paper and dark chocolate. There is touch of oak but it is pleasingly understated, allowing the merlot to predominate. In the mouth, the sweet tannins are fine and fresh. There appears to be little scope for further development, but altogether this is a delicious and thoroughly drinkable wine.
