  December 27, 2009 - Exellent retrained Brunello. Plush, tar and earth notes with a smooth tobacco finish. Lengthy drink with mild and appropriate acidity. A delight, but overall, found this bottle to be somewhat less explosive than one I had 6 months ago. Not sure if it's already losing steam. Would disagree with notes suggesting this wine needs time - I think it is as far as it's going to go, and perfectly enjoyable with an hour decant.
