  December 31, 2009 - This has has held up remarkably well. Cork was intact, some significant bricking on the rim, but still a solid core of color. Quite sweet caramel, leather, dried leaves and white pepper on the nose. Comfortable old fruit on the palate - not a blockbuster, but nice mellow fruit with secondary flavors consistent with the nose. For what was undoubtedly an under $2 purchase on release, a pleasant old life.
