  This is quite a nice bottle of wine, and still getting better! Mostly fruit with a bit of tobacco and earth, but could use more of the non-fruit.
  
  Nose - some heat, but wearing off as it open ups. Pepper and earth (but not barnyard - more like mud)
  Pallet - cherries galore with nice graphite, caramel, and pear?. Burst of tannins but then not overwhelming heat
  Legs - wonderful hints of cherry, tobacco, and back to the pepper - but could use more acidity.
  
  I'm really hoping the 2007 is just as good...
