  January 12, 2010 - dark fruit filled syrah. body was a bit flabby with good dark fruit, and a bit of spice. after a couple of hours the acidity seemed to come out and started to balance out the wine. i would decant for several hours, or better, give it two years in the cellar to balance out. should age well for several years. in comparison, was not in the same league with the 2007 owen roe ex umbris for balance and clarity of fruit character, but may develop better over time.
