  January 11, 2010 - Upon opening and decanting, a nose of vanilla, nutmeg and cloves. Spiced light red fruits - berries and earthy plums, even a hint of cedar. Much of this gave way to sweet perfume notes (not unlike the perfume section of a high-end department store) in the glass. A bit greener than expected in the mouth, and a little like chewing on raw cinnamon for the first few sips. Light fruit but too heavy on the acid/bitterness for my taste, and not a memorable finish. This wasn't an offensive wine by any stretch, but it's nothing too exciting.
