  February 14, 2010 - Eccentric presentation - string and sealing wax in place of the traditional wire muselet atop a wide squat bottle.
  Mid gold in colour with persistent small bubbles.
  Restrained nose of classic autolytic character initially, developing more honeyed notes after some time in the glass.
  Palate is dry, mid bodied, with much more intensity of biscuit and butter notes (100% chardonnay planted in 1947). Finish is comparatively long with a pronounced honey character.
  A hit for Valentines day.
