  February 21, 2010 - Cute name and label. Terrible wine. Layer Cake? Are they freaking kidding me? Layers of garbage. This wine is sickening sweet, syrupy, funky and lacks any sort of structure. I walked away from it and revisited it an hour later. Tastes like Welch's cough syrup. It's like the wine maker just said screw it and hoped that the barrelling and bottling would magically transform this crap. No such luck. I've had $4 bottles of wine that put this to shame. At $13.99 they're pulling the wool over a lot of people's eyes. Fool me once shame on me, fool me twice, not a chance. Never again will I purchase something from this winery.
