  March 10, 2010 - Still fantastic; might be getting better. Deep purple, slightly clear on edges. Nose of wonderful wet earth, black cherry, light leather. Alcohol is there, but it is not overwhelming. Well integrated on palate. Another couple of years, maybe.
  
  Drank this with southwest roast chicken thigh, toasty skin, sourdough and butter. Great pairing, especially with spices.
