March 14, 2010 - Tasted this against a heavily spiced Yucatecan dish,a fish bathed in achiote and sour orange, the wrapped in banana leaves and grilled. To say that a wine pairing was a challenge is a gross understatement. This held up to the challenge. Oddly, so did the Reisling served along side, the Triguedina having the depth of flavor to compete and the reisling a perfect counterpoint. The great black wine of Cahors comes through again.
