  March 15, 2009 - Deep violet-tinged garnet colour, lightening at edges. Expressive nose of violets, black cherry and pomegranate along with astringent, earthy and almost spicy tobacco.
  
  Tart, slightly hot and sharp attack of not-quite-ripe raspberry leads to smoother dark fruits on the mid-palate along with some slightly rough (in a pleasantly rustic sort of way), substantial tannins. Loads of acidity keep this almost refreshing, though. The finish is dry, really showing the tobacco and a little oak and dirt. Solid.
