April 2, 2010 - Contested alongside a 2007 Kongsgaard. (Not the Judge, jury is out on that verdict.) Not surprisingly They are different. Both fantastic. That two Chardonnays can taste so different, yet still taste like Chardonnay, was a great wine moment. The Peter Michael had more vanilla and was sweeter. But a wonderful sweet that still allowed one to crave drinking the whole bottle and not share. Of course, it is not sweet enough to stand up to dessert, but by itself it could be dessert. So starting a meal with a glass of this alone, or with some raw pesto and tuna, is a capitalist, gastronomic, indulgence.
