April 30, 2010 - This is from memory. I had a bottle a few months ago. Bad vintages = deals on good producers. Montevertine threw out 40% of their fruit in this vintage and combined fruit from their best plots the make this wine. Yes, that includes fruit from their vines that produce their flagship wine "Le Pergole Torte", which was not produced this year. This wine is no heavy weight for sure, but it is very elegant and is beginning to show really well with secondary characteristics coming through. Good acidity and the tannins are resolving.
