May 29, 2010 - Well, I bought these at an online auction for WGBH, our Boston PBS Station, and needless to say, I was hoping we had a little life in them. Two of them had pretty good fills, for 1966, 1 fill was very bad, and 1 fill was ok. We opened the worst first, and it was aweful, I tried it, but essentially it was clouded vinegar. The second one, we got a small taste of what it might have been, although really what we got was a less bad bottle, really only a hint of it, and after the first sip, which was light years ahead of the other one, was really not great, and nothing that I can even describe, sort of like eating a grape that was left out in the sun for a while, and was brown, but not yet a raisin. Within 5 minutes the wine had turned. So I have two more, and will be opening them soon.
