  June 4, 2010 - First taste of a highly recommended LI Merlot Rose. A bit of a let-down. Nice, fragrant, floral nose, but upon tasting, the wine just fell flat. Almost dull and found little to no complexity here. Found this wine to be VERY different than the winery's tasting notes: "unique Rosé rich and full-bodied with layers of vanilla and a hint of praline with a finish that evolves over time." Not really.
  
  If this is the most "full-bodied" and "expressive" of the Clones, not super excited to try the 181 and 314 clones.
  
  This wine is perhaps best suited for summer picnics, brunches, baby showers and the like.
