August 4, 2010 - Opened at dinner last night, from memory. Decanted for half an hour, then double decanted for another half hour. Wine is still very young, and needs to be in decanter for at least another hour until it starts to show up. Good nose of red berries, and currants with a hint of mushroom and coffee. The texture of the wine is quite thick, which went quite nicely with duck and pigeon. Still a lot of tannins and needs at least 2 hours of decanting before it can be drunk at the moment.
