  August 15, 2010 - While I don't necessarily agree that this wine rates an "88", I did find it a pleasant surprise. I poured it, without decanting, expecting a flavor profile consistent with price point peers. I was wrong. The color was a rich, dark purple hue. The nose offered dark cherries and black fruits. The taste was more of same plus a hint of raisins and spice. The heat was very manageable. Would have appreciated a longer finish. This is a nice wine for BBQ with guests and offers a generous QPR.
