  August 24, 2010 - And they said this wine is over the hill- balderdash! Right in the sweet spot- notes of spice and dark fruit on the nose. Intense fig and raisin flavor on the palate. Almost thick and coffee like. Very tasty for a wine that probably was not meant to age. The Hilltop vineyard is one of Jerry's best, and it really came through in the wine. Tasty with a hunk of red meat- perfect complement to the fat and richness of the beef. I am glad I waited to open this. Wish I had more!
