December 15, 2010 - Popped and poured, enjoyed over a 2 hour period with a Flannery porterhouse & roasted beets and sweet potatoes. Intriguing nose of smoke, licorice, black fruits. Smooth entry with flavors of black plum, anise, olive tapenade, some pepper notes in the background. The finish was punctuated by a blast of roasted meat. Really nice wine that is drinking beautifully.
