  December 25, 2010 - This bottle was perhaps a bit past its prime with fruit having receded a bit too far. However, we thought it was well balanced between fruit and wood. Nice silky mouth feel and decent finish, with both fruit and wood notes carrying through. There was an alcohol "hotness" but not enough to derail a nice wine. Wish I had opened it 12-18 months sooner. Had it with roast beef tenderloin which was a nice combination.
