  July 15, 2006 - This is a massive wine. Color is dark garnet/purple to the rim. Nose shows plum, blackberry, garrigue (although this faded), and tar. On the palate, I found it to be a bit too much at this stage. The wine oozed dark fruit, but in a somewhat formless way. There was such an intense expression of fruit, that I felt the secondary flavors typical of the Rhone were lost. Finishes with soft tannins and a touch of heat. This needs to come together, but when it does...look out.
