  February 14, 2011 - Valentine's day wine #2. Followed a great champagne and didn't disappoint. The nose is mostly red fruit...bing cherry and cranberry with some nice chocolate tones as well. On the palate is black cherry, vanilla, cedar, strawberries and raspberries. The tannins coat your mouth nicely, but are integrating well. It's a slightly sweet, long finish. Nice complexity. Well balanced and well made. Not a powerhouse, but nice wine. I don't think it's made for the long haul but when it's this good now, who cares?
