  February 27, 2011 - Nose is very fruity, almost ribena at first instance. After some whirling around some meaty, port like alcohol starts to effervesce. On the palate, definitely nebbiolo. Not an easy wine to appreciate because it has this musky and tannic structure and it is difficult to find the spicy fruits at the mid palate before it closes up quickly with some bitterness, not unpleasant though, just some character of a wine. Somehow I have a feeling this wine has more to offer but can't seem to detect it. I will hold the last bottle for another 6 to 12 months in hope that the Starderi terrior will not fail to put up a better showing.
