  March 18, 2011 - Old School. Not really recognizable as Zinfandel if you are looking for big jammy fruit and 16% alcohol. Floral nose with cigar wrappers and red fruits - a touch of spice emerges with air. A middleweight in the mouth - more red fruits with a strong thread of acidity all the way through the spicy, 30 second finish. Some wood toast and a faint green streak round things out. Not a blockbuster, not over the top. Just a really nice drink on Friday night that disappears much faster than expected.
