  March 26, 2011 - Popped and poured this expecting it to be way past it's prime and mostly garbage. Surprisingly it's much like it was 4 years ago. Old world-esque on the nose, with muted fruit, forest floor, and red twizzler. In the mouth it still has some tannins, white mushroom, plum, and hints of red twizzler on the finish. The red twizzler has diminished over the years, but this still has some life left in it and could use some more air time. Quite surprised this is still drinkable....but then again, what do I know?

  40 minutes in and picking up some nice vanilla notes on the nose.
