  May 8, 2011 - Decanted for 1 hour. Nose was muted but I could pick out plum and blackcherry. Concentrated but not jammy mouthfeel, smooth tannins and very little oak. Balanced but holding back, could have passed as a Brunello. Not typical Chianti but a wonderful wine that will benefit from cellaring. I will buy again and hold for 2-3 years.
