  May 9, 2011 - Popped and poured at last night's dinner, without decanting.
  Absolutely stunning youth, very complex dark fruit aromas mingled together with wild, earthy scents as customary with an '01. The attack is marvelous, in typical precise Burgundy fashion, fully structured, berries and floral tastes, and a long, lingering finish that keeps you going back for more.
  '01 Vosne 1er Crus don't get any better than this. From the same producer, I suspect only the '01 Richebourg would beat it.
